Sarah Palin Speaking In Tongues

This is painful to watch. This is part 2 of her interview with Katie Couric. Sarah Palin is talking absolute rubbish. She doesn't have a clue -- just like McCain. Yet, there are millions of people who think that this intellectual midget would make a fine President. I guess George Bush really lowered the bar.

Hillary Delegate in Anguish

How many women feel this way?

Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) addresses the DNC

Hillary's Speech

This is a paragraph from the blog "Hullabaloo".

"I also think this campaign may have been a crucible for her in that she rediscovered her feminist roots. An awful lot of progressive women did. It wasn't so much because of a commitment or loyalty to Hillary Clinton herself but rather an unexpected and stunning realization that sexism still runs so close to the surface in our culture. Hillary didn't lose because of sexism but her campaign certainly exposed it. And it's had an effect on a lot of women. Certainly, last night, some of Michelle Obama's biggest applause lines had to do with women's equality (and it didn't just come from Hillary supporters.) Clinton's grandest achievement in this campaign may have been to raise that awareness --- and hopefully she will use her position as the most powerful woman in the US Senate to advance the cause".

Holier Than Thou

Here is what John Edwards said about Bill Clinton, regarding Clinton's infidelity on Feb. 12, 1999:

I think this President has shown a remarkable disrespect for his office, for the moral dimensions of leadership, for his friends, for his wife, for his precious daughter. It is breathtaking to me the level to which that disrespect has risen.

Edwards also said the affair had ended, yet The National Enquirer caught him in a hotel room with his mistress and her baby just last week. What was he doing there if the affair was over and the baby wasn't his?? Enquiring minds want to know!

John Edwards -- What If?

What if ... John Edwards had been the democratic nominee? He was asking people for money for his campaign, telling people that he was the best qualified to win the election. What a joke. We can breathe a sigh of relief that this selfish, short sighted individual didn't win the primary. His affair would have been exposed, then John McSame would be a shoe in. He didn't give a toss about the democratic party. As for his cheating on his terminally ill wife -- no comment!

Obama -- Count Florida And Michigan

Are you kidding me? Now -- when it doesn't count, Obama sends a letter to the DNC (Do Not Count) committee, asking that they count all of Florida and Michigan's delegates at the convention. How insulting is this. If the voter's don't vote for him, then he is the king of voter suppression!

Then, to add insult to injury, Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Karen Thurman said, "Today is a proud day for all of us who fought so hard to ensure Floridians votes are fully counted." A proud day Karen? What would a shameful day look like?

Here is the article.

Pelosi Voices Her Pick For VP

Nancy Pelosi is now pushing an unknown Congressman from Texas, as Obama's VP. His name is Chet Edwards -- never heard of him, right? Bill Nelson

Democratic Senator Bill Nelson, who represents the sorry State of Florida, where I reside, voted for the unconstitutional FISA bill. We don't get to vote in Florida, now we don't get a constitution. What gives Bill?

Another Reverend -- Another Apology

Today, the Reverend Jesse Jackson was being interviewed by Faux News, he thought the microphone was off (sure he did), when he shared this thought about Obama, "He's talking down to the black community, I'd like to cut his nuts off". Jackson then went on CNN to express his sincere regrets.

Personally, I'm glad I don't know any reverends ... they're mean bastards!

Destroying Hillary Clinton

There was an interesting article this week in the British newspaper The Guardian. The two authors discuss how many Obama supporting bloggers, journalists, talking heads, etc., adopted the strategies of the right wing to vilify Hillary Clinton during the primary. They were disgusted when the right wing did this to Clinton in the 90's, but they figured -- hey it might work for us now. If you can stomach it, the article is in two parts.

Part One.

Meet The New Boss -- Same As The Old Boss

A political action committee (PAC) is circulating this video, even though Obama vowed to keep religion out of the general election. Let's look at some of the positions Senator Obama has taken in the past week, that are directly opposite of the majority opinion of voters in the democratic party:
1. FISA
2. Moveon.Org
3. Extending the death penalty.
4. Extending the federal government's involvement with religious groups.

He has given the finger to the activists and voters who made him the nominee. Some argue that he is doing this for political expediency, Hello -- didn't Obama run on the premise of being a new kind of politician who wanted to change the way business is done in Washington. In fact, that was what he cited as Clinton's flaw, she was a politician who oftentimes made decisions for political expediency. Wow! What have we let ourselves in for?

Olberman's Pathetic Flip-Flop

MSNBC's gasbag -- Keith Olberman, vigorously defended Obama's flip-flop on FISA. Now, after he has read negative posts on Daily Kos and The Huffington Post, plus heard the chorus of disapproval from conscientious liberals, he himself has now flip-flopped. He now says that Senator Obama should vote against the FISA bill. What shallow, pathetic figures these media gasbags are. Why can't we get people on the TV with even half a brain? It would be a big advancement.

Dude, Where's My Backbone?

Senator Barack Obama caves in on FISA deal. Here is his official statement.
Meet the new boss ... Same as the old boss.

He May Need Clinton Now

Now that Senator Chris Dodd is the subject of a senate ethics inquiry, he may be having second thoughts about being so dismissive of Senator Clinton during the democratic primary. He was very vocal in insisting that Senator Clinton leave the primary race, even though she was winning State after State. He issued this order whenever a microphone was in front of him. Dodd is a big Obama supporter. Here is a snippet of some of his bullshit:

On health care: “The mismanagement of the effort in 1993 and 1994 has set back our ability to move toward universal health care immeasurably,” Dodd said. “We’ve known what the problems have been for nearly 15 years and what the solutions could be. What’s been missing is leadership that knows how to bring people together and get the job done.”

Senator Clinton has a lot more power now than she had before the primary. I hope she turns her back on this creep when he comes crawling for help. Let's hope there is such a thing as karma and that this hypocrite gets what's coming to him. Unfortunately, I think the ethics inquiry will be a sham and he will be exonerated. Yes, another example of "changing the way we do politics". Give me a break!

Selective Morality

Last week Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) and Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) found themselves having to explain their participation in a mortgage program that was not available to most of their constituents. Dodd stated he didn't understand, or know too much about the VIP loan he was given, which gave him "favorable rates". Dodd is ironically the chairman of the banking committee.

Republicans are pressing for a hearing about this and due to this and other pressure, the senate ethics committee will now look into this. However, Dodd and Conrad may not have done anything illegal. According to senate rules, senators do not have to disclose mortgage information. How convenient.

Politico did a survey of many senators, regarding their mortgages, the results are in the attached link. They will update the survey when they get more responses. Here is the Politico Article.

Throw The Bums Out!

In the era of "a new kind of politics", we have a glaring example of the "old kind of politics". It seems Rep. James Clyburn of S.C., an Obama supporter, has earmarked approximately $6.2 million dollars for projects that will benefit his immediate family and some friends. The article is here: Meet the new boss ... same as the old boss.

The Pathetic Media

Chris Matthews was interviewed following Tim Russert's death. He let slip a revealing anecdote. He informed us that Russert was 100% behind invading Iraq, because he thought Iraq might have a nuclear bomb! It appears Russert took the Bush/Cheney bait -- hook; line and sinker! If only he had "investigated" or "interviewed" some of the U.N. weapons inspectors such as Hans Blix or Scott Ritter, who stated repeatedly that Iraq did not have the capability of making a nuclear device.

Why interview people and give an objective report, it's easier just to repeat what the Administration is telling you.

Sloppy! Sloppy! Sloppy!

The video is long, but the relevant anecdote is about 1:10 minutes into it. Video

Little-Dick Cheney Wrong Again

Little-Dick Cheney is wrong again. I often wonder if he ever gets tired of being wrong. Today's blooper comes from a recent statement that he made, stating that China was drilling for oil off the coast of Cuba, (while those fucking idiots in Florida, who don't deserve a vote, won't let Little-Dick and his pals drill for oil). Obama And DNC Want My Money

I keep getting emails from the DNC asking me to send them money for Obama's election campaign. If I give money to the DNC will it help pay for Howard Dean and Prima Donna Brazille's salary? Let me see ... they begrudgingly gave me 1/2 a vote, when it was too late to count, and now they want me to send them money. Too funny. Let's hope they hold their breath while they wait for my check.

Science News

This is just a coincidence, but yesterday marked the first day that Gay Americans could legally get married in California. Then a study done in Sweden was published that showed differences in brain activity of homosexual and heterosexual people. Here is the link to the newspaper article: Brain Activity.

I'm sure the McBush campaign will debunk these findings. They will reiterate that homosexuality is NOT biological. Gay people are gay because they like to be discriminated against -- everybody knows that!

Pelosi Capitulates -- Again!

House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi has instructed the members of the house of representatives to settle the matter of FISA before the 4th of July recess. She has said she wants a bill that the President will sign!! Are you kidding me? Why is she in this position? She will NOT pursue impeachment. Now, she is granting Bush, et al, complete immunity for breaking the law in regards to the illegal wire-tapping of American citizens. Please Cindy Sheehan -- take this woman out of politics. I'm sure she could get a cushy job from George Bush.

Wexler wants position in Obama administration

In an article from the Miami Herald on Monday, Robert Wexler reveals why he is such an ardent Obama supporter: Wexler has been rewarded with access to the candidate's inner circle, frequent-flyer miles to Jewish communities from Iowa to Ohio, and an advisory post on Middle East policy.

Last week, Wexler sat in the front row when Obama addressed the American Israel Public Affairs Committee in Washington. "I want to be a congressman with a friend in the White House.'' These are some of the reasons Wexler ignored the wishes of his constituents and endorsed Obama. At the time he said that his brain oftentimes knows better than people who voted him into office and that's why he ignored his constituents.

This creep has overstayed his welcome!

Perspective from Great Britain

This is a link to an article by Nigel Willmott, in today's Guardian newspaper in England. He makes his observations of the recent primary race, "from a broad", so to speak. He points out the obvious bias in the so-called media (what an ironic name).

Hillary Clinton

Al Hunt On Sexism

Al Hunt wrote an article for Bloomberg, in which he tells us that sexism had nothing to do with Hillary not winning the primary. He didn't mention what makes him such an expert on sexism, other than he went to see Sex In The City recently. It shows how ingrained sexism is in our society, when the pundits who control the microphones are oblivious to their own culpability. I sent him the link to the previous video.

This is the article.

I emailed Al Hunt, this is what I said. "You haven't got a clue about sexism. I love it when men say there is no such thing as sexism."
He replied with. "i don't for a moment think there is no such thing as sexism; it is pervasive. what i did say in this race between a woman and an african american, sen clinton did not lose this race because of gender."

Yep -- he's clueless!

This article from the New York Times reiterates what other polls are showing, if the election were held today Hillary would beat McCain, but McCain would beat Obama.

These polls will change as we get closer to the election, but it begs the question -- what were the super delegates thinking? If their goal was to win the election, why would they invite any amount of risk by choosing Obama when all indications show that Hillary would have been a slam dunk?

Breaking News ...

BREAKING NEWS: CNN reports that gas stations will now start showing porn at the pump, so you can see someone else get screwed at the same time you are.

Healing The Party

I heard something hilarious on the television yesterday. "How can the Democratic Party heal after this primary?" One of the pundits said it could only be done by Hillary Clinton and her supporters! What a joke. It is the likes of Ed Schultz; Randy Rhodes; Daily Kos and the Huffington Post -- so called Liberals, that have ripped this party in two. It's all very well supporting and encouraging your candidate, but as we have seen this year, the tactics used by these people to promote their chosen candidate may have a detrimental effect in November.

I stopped reading the aforementioned blogs, because of their skewed "reporting" and sins of omission. As for the other two blowhards, I find them beneath contempt. They bring NOTHING to the discussion.

Do any of these people have a responsibility to heal the party? Will any of these people take one iota of responsibility if Obama loses the election? I think not. If anything untoward happens they will inevitably blame Hillary Clinton and/or her supporters. It reminds me of the Bush administration -- totally stupid and not willing to take responsibility for their actions.

Associated Press Used By Obama Campaign

This morning the AP reported, without citing sources, that Senator Clinton will concede the primary this evening. This was immediately denied by the Clinton campaign. It seems that the AP has been used by an individual or a group in an effort to suppress voter turnout. The Obama camp has used tactics of this kind before. This is anothe example of them unifying the party, or perhaps it's an example of how they would not resort to dirty tricks!

Whatever!

Robert Wexler's Town Hall Meeting

Robert Wexler held a Town Hall meeting last night at the Boca Lago Country Club. There were about 400 of his loyal constituents there, mostly over 65 years of age. He started by praising himself for his performance at the DNC rules meeting on Saturday. He said he will urge Senator Obama to seat ALL of the Florida delegates in Denver. At this point I shouted out "it's too late then" and some other people followed suit. He ignored us. He continued to filibuster about the war in Iraq, republicans, etc., etc.

After half an hour of his b.s. he said he would take questions. The first lady pointed out that his constituents voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton, yet he endorsed Obama, she wanted to know why he would go against his constituents wishes. He had the audacity to say that because he is a politician he will often listen to his brain instead of his constituents. How arrogant! I got to speak, I reminded him that he was elected by the people of Florida and that his first allegiance is to the people of Florida, not Barack Obama. I said his appearance before the DNC rules meeting on Saturday was disgraceful. During the meeting he was asked if he would like all of Florida's delegates to be seated and he replied, "no -- you must penalize Florida for breaking the rules". At this point I started getting booed by many and applause from a few. I told the audience not to take my word for it, but to verify his words on youtube. I asked why he did not want all of Florida's delegates seated. He then started his famous shouting and said he did a fabulous job getting half the delegates counted, because when he walked into the meeting we had none! He then surprisingly, blamed the Florida Democratic State Legislators for causing this debacle. This surprised me, because there were one or two aspiring State Senators in the audience. Again, he stated that he will urge Obama to seat all of the delegates in Denver. I again reminded him that this was too late to represent the wishes of the people of Florida.

Considering this jerk claims to use his brain, it has failed him miserably in this election. Obama will not carry Florida. I like Obama and I want a democrat in the White house, however, all the signs point to McCain. Wexler should have covered his sorry ass, there will be fallout from his arrogance.

Hopefully, when he is up for re-election, he will get half of the votes and we'll see how he likes it.

Obama -- Don't Count Florida!

Well, here he goes again! In the interest of "uniting the country and the party" hypocrite Obama is again saying "DON'T COUNT FLORIDA"! His shill -- Robert Wexler made his case for him. What a joke! He must be supremely confident about the general election, because he will be going without the electoral votes of Florida.

Robert Wexler Must Go!

I have just watched Robert Wexler at the DNC rules meeting. This guy is a disgrace! He is a representative for Florida, yet he is in front of this committee arguing that they should only give Florida half of their delegates. This is outrageous. He is putting Barack Obama in front of his constituents. A big mistake that politicians make is that they forget the master that they serve. Barack Obama did not elect Wexler, the voters of Florida did. Let's hope they elect him right out of the door in the next election. This guy is a joke. He is holding a Town Hall meeting next Monday, I will be there.

DNC RULZ Meeting

C-SPAN will cover the DNC rules meeting tomorrow, Saturday 31st May, starting at 9:30 AM. Personally, I will be watching to see how they justify giving Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada a waiver to hold their primaries before February 5th, yet they Penalized Florida and Michigan for doing the same thing. According to the rules, if waivers are to be granted they have to be granted before the primary is held. In all of the cases cited above, the waivers were granted after the primary was held. It is clear to everyone who has been following this debacle, that the DNC used the rules arbitrarily. Howard Dean and his idiotic cohorts have made a complete balls-up of this primary. The confusion, disilusion and anger that their stupid decisions have generated, could cost us the general election.

A blog I enjoy reading is www.talkleft.com. They have a wealth of information regarding the DNC rules.

Citizens Arrest for John Bolton

John Bolton, the former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.,will be addressing an audience at the Hay Festival in Wales this evening, 5/28/08. George Monbiot, a journalist is planning to make a citizens arrest, on the grounds that Bolton is a war criminal. He charges that Mr Bolton was "instrumental in preparing and initiating the Iraq war by disseminating false claims through the State Department" while he was under-secretary of state for arms control.

Mr Monbiot said he had formally notified police of his intention of performing a citizen's arrest. He said: "This is the one opportunity we have, because he is mingling with the public, which doesn't happen very often."

What is a Citizens Arrest? In the United Kingdom it is defined as follows:

“Section 24A of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 permits any citizen to "arrest without a warrant ... anyone whom he has reasonable grounds for suspecting to be guilty" of an offence.

Majority of Votes Don't Count

I am a Hillary Clinton supporter. She won Florida handily. The DNC decided it would be better for the party if they did not count Florida and Michigan's votes. The DNC is made up of people who couldn't find their ass with both hands. Hillary argues that she has won more votes, this is indisputable, however ... this was never the measure of a "win".

Hillary won Florida by 294,772 votes.
Hillary won Michigan by 328,309 votes
Hillary won 150,000 more votes than Obama last night in Kentucky and Oregon. She won Kentucky by 249,224 votes while Obama won Oregon by 102,144 votes.
Let's add it all up:
Popular Vote Totals (w/FL & MI)Hillary leads by 174,047 votes (.48%.)
Popular Vote Totals (w/FL & MI and Estimate w/IA, NV, ME, WA): Hillary leads by 63,825 votes (.18%)

The stated goal was to win more delegates than the other guy. John Kerry lost the last election because he lost Ohio by approximately 170,000 votes. Yet, if he had won Ohio then he would have won the election by virtue of the electoral votes, but Shit-For-Brains Bush had won 3 million more popular votes than Kerry, doesnt matter -- Kerry would have won!

The good thing about this tight race is that it has shed light on this ridiculous system. We all now know about Super Delegates and proportional division of pledged delegates. Even if you lose a state by the popular vote, you can still pick up more pledged delegates depending on which counties you won , this is such bullshit. The candidates spend a full year campaigning in Iowa and New Hampshire -- give me a break! This whole election has been a giant cock-up by the DNC. We have had eight years of an administration that does not take responsiblity for anything! I am tired of this and I don't want the Democratic Party emulating the GOP, therefore Howard Dean must take full responsibility for this fiasco. The buck must stop somewhere.

We have four years to change the way we elect our nominees. This is my proposal: All 50 states vote for the Democratic Presidential Nominee on the same day. The candidates could spend six months campaiging, possibly visiting every state in the union. If any, or all of the candidates choose to spend their whole six months in Iowa -- good for them! Whoever gets the most votes wins! what a concept!

Let me know what you think.

This is a video from the Broward County Democrats, here in No-Vote Florida. One of the many reasons Florida changed their primary date, was so we could get rid of the corrupt and hackable touch-screen voting machines. This was a noble and correct decision, however, dumb-ass Howard Dean and the rest of the inept DNC didn't agree and instead of congratulating the Florida Democratic Legislator, they punished them. What idiots! We can breathe a sigh of relief that Howard Dean did not get far in his quest for the Whitehouse.

Electoral Map

Here are a couple of links to a website that is displaying current state by state polling for the general election. Admittedly, it is very early to make these predictions, however Hillary is clearly ahead in the states that matter.

Where Is Elizabeth Edwards?

Elizabeth Edwards was conspicuously absent today, when her husband endorsed Obama. She had said in the recent past that Hillary's health care plan was much better than Obama's. Let's hope she endorses Hillary.

Can Hillary Get The Nomination

The pundits and the press insist that the democratic primary race is over. Why is Hillary Clinton still campaigning? There are several factors to consider. Right now Obama is ahead by approximately 180 delegates. If Florida and Michigan's delegates are counted, Hillary picks up about 70 delegates. The next 6 primaries should give Hillary another 20. This means there is only a difference of 90 delegates between them. There are approximately 205 superdelegates yet to vote. If they determine that Hillary has the better chance of beating McCain, they are at liberty to vote for her. If Florida and Michigan do not get a say in who the nominee is, Obama wins the primary, but loses Florida in the general election. Florida has 27 electoral votes.

Obama Claims He's Visited 57 States

57 States? He must be including the states of Euphoria and Delusion.

Sunday Morning Gasbags!

This week, hundreds of thousands of people died due to a cyclone Burma. 19 killed in the US last night by tornadoes. The country is at "war". Gas is nearly $4 a gallon -- and all these gasbags will talk about is what color pantsuit Hillary Clinton is wearing. Why don't they give me a show on Sunday morning?

Somehow ... I don't think so!

Reporters or Repeaters?

The mainstream media have no credibility. MSNBC is the worst. Russert spouts his "predictions" -- who asked ya? Matthews is a joke (have you seen his new RED hair!!), Oberman is an Obama surrogate. Where is the objectivity? Where is the REPORTING? They are now officially worst than Faux News. Where can we go to get news without the infusion of opinion, or conjecture? NPR and PBS seems like our last hope.

Is it time for a third political party?

Hillary Clinton should start a viable third political party. The Democratic National Committee is inept. The rules are ridiculous and serve no-one. Jesse Ventura has stated publicly that he believes we need a third party -- he could be Hillary's running mate. The times has come.

Hillary

The results of the primaries in Indiana and North Carolina were quite a surprise. Obama beat the spread in both contests. It's difficult to see how Hillary can win now. We now from recent history that the nominee is not always the best candidate -- Kerry! I still think Hillary would be the better President; she has experience -- he has very little. She has specifics -- he has hope. Personally, I think Pelosi wants Obama in the Whitehouse so she can tell him what to do, she obviously could not tell Hillary what to do. I think we have a little quid pro quo here with Pelosi and Obama.

Obama won't vote for me.

This morning on CNN, Senator Obama reiterated that Florida and Michigan's primary results should NOT count! He said the rules have to be followed and both of these states should have no say in who the democratic nominee is. If Obama is the nominee, no doubt he will campaign in both of these states and have the gall to ask for our votes.

Where in the World is Guam?

Obama was expected to win Guam by a big margin, unfortunately that did not happen. He did win - but by just 7 votes! This seems unbelievble. There will be a recount because of the small margin and approximately 50 ballots were damaged. So, Obama will get the win and pick up one more superdelegate, but this is really a win for Hillary. Not that I'm biased!
